How much does birth time matter?
Open Birth Chart → How much does birth time matter? Enter a possible time range on your saved birth date. You need your birth date, location, and timezone; an exact time is optional.
What you get
The comparison samples candidate charts through the shared calculation engine and reports:
- Observed Sun and Moon signs across the range.
- Rising signs seen at the sampled times.
- Sun and Moon houses, with calculation sources and unresolved clocks.
"Same at sampled times" describes only the tested samples. It does not prove the placement stayed unchanged between them, and it does not recover your true birth time. Comparing a range never changes your saved profile.
Chart-difference explainer (two settings)
The Birth Chart page also has a difference explainer: supply two setting sets (for example, two candidate times) and it lists what changed — signs, houses, angles — using the same engine as your chart. Anything the engine cannot compute is shown as unknown, never guessed.
When to use which
- Unsure of your time? Use the sensitivity check first.
- Debating two specific times? Use the difference explainer.
- Ready to commit? Update your birth data in Settings → Profile; the Soul Codex regenerates.
