Approaching Shadow Work Safely

Shadow work can bring up intense emotions. Approach this spread with self-compassion and without judgment. If you uncover material that feels overwhelming, consider working with a therapist or counselor who can provide professional support alongside your tarot practice.

Remember that discovering a shadow aspect is not the same as being that aspect. Recognizing that you carry repressed anger, for example, does not make you an angry person.
